Family member and friends play an important role in helping residents attain independence. Families are encouraged to participate in our community through family councils, recreational activities, day trips and volunteer opportunities. When a resident is ready to leave our facility, we help plan a smooth, safe transition and identify community and home resources to make the homecoming easier.

Activities

Residents are given the opportunity to participate in a full calendar of recreational and social events such as crafts, games, music and religious programs. Activities promote a resident’s self-esteem and stimulates interpersonal socialization.

Social Services

Whether a resident is admitted for a short or long-term care, it signifies a major change in their daily routine. Country Manor Healthcare’s Social Service staff is here to help ease the period of adjustment for both residents and their families. Social Service staff also help with discharge planning.
